APT Jazz are high-performance root tabs specifically formulated for aquariums with depleted or mature aquasoil. Over time, aquasoil loses its nutritional reserves APT Jazz replenishes them directly at the root zone, without disrupting water parameters or causing ammonia spikes. The tabs contain an NPK formula of 16-0.2-0 with 16% nitrogen (nitrate and ammoniacal), magnesium, iron, and micronutrients. All nutrients are fully water-soluble and designed for aquatic use unlike terrestrial osmocote-type root tabs, APT Jazz does not trigger dangerous ammonia spikes that can harm fish and tissue-culture plants. When should you use APT Jazz? Aquariums with aquasoil older than 612 months When plant growth slows noticeably despite regular water column fertilization To achieve fuller, denser growth in stem plants When struggling to develop intense red coloration in demanding species How does it work? APT Jazz tabs are pushed deep into the substrate (at least 2.5 cm / 1 inch) near plant roots. The clay matrix releases nutrients slowly and consistently, providing long-term root nutrition without risk of water imbalances. Each tab remains active for up to 2 months.
